Rewards for companies making campaign donations included $2.8 Million taxpayer dollars earmarked in 2008 for Textron after receipt of $9000 in donations and $1.6 Milion earmarked for Stratus after receipt of a $500 donation. Seattle Times. Vitter is also one of many politicians who have been exposed to be involved in prostitution rings. His involvement was in the 1999-2001 time frame according to Wikipedia. As with most of those caught in similar circumstances, Vitter humiliated his wife by having her stand with him as he made his statements.
