Use of Seat for Personal Gain:

According to Wikipedia, Murkowski purchased Kenai River-Front property at around 1/3 value from a Real Estate Developer and AK political donor and then earmarked taxpayer money for a federally funded road to the property. Murkowski sold the property back to the developer when exposed. Citizens for Ethicsalso uncovered suspect loan terms. Murkowski landed an 80%, 39yr loan (typical land loans for the public are closer to 70% and 7 years - at best) for undeveloped property through a bank with family ties on the Board of Directors.
